Wrapping up and Tying Loose Ends

Most of our conversations and thoughts the last few weeks have centered around our departure from Penang and moving overseas! I have a feeling that anything that gets posted on this blog the next few weeks will also focus on our love for Malaysia and its people. Our minds (including the children's) are in over-gear with thoughts of activities that still need to be experienced, people we need to see one (or two, or three) more times, and how many more local dishes we may yet have the opportunity to try! As I was sitting on my front porch finger-deep in rice and mutton wrapped in brown paper, I realized I have lived in Malaysia longer than I have lived anywhere since growing up in Canada. As I am working on a photographic memoir of Penang for another family who is leaving, I will be posting lots of my favorite photos here the next few weeks! 'Can't help but wonder how different our photos will be a year from now.

Although I am confident in God's leading hand in this transition, we will be experiencing many moments of stress and loss as we wrap things up (literally!).
