Leslie White

After a rather lengthy hiatus from the computer, finally I have some new photos! We are getting settled in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Today was one of the first days that I didn't hear "I want to go back to Malaysia" from the kids. Hmmm. Good sign. This does not mean they wouldn't want to go back! They just forgot to say it because they had a good day. We have been enjoying "yard saling" most Saturdays to replace the collection of bikes, skateboards, scooters that we left behind. We have even made a few friends at yard sales. We already had some visitors too; Chad and Leslie, Hannah, Chloe and Micah White came to visit during our first week at the new house.

Today I was at Walmart doing my grocery shopping when I was trying to figure out what language I was hearing in the next aisle. 'Took me a few seconds to figure out it was actually english! So you see, we still have a lot to learn and adjust to as well. It still feels a little strange to live on a street where everyone is American. The neighbors, however, have all been very welcoming and friendly which has made us feel right at home. We are really thankful to God that even as we left a place we loved, He was preparing for us another place where we can settle and have a ministry.

Glad to hear you guys are getting settled. What an adjustment! You probably don't remember me, but you guys came over for pizza when you were in San Diego a few years ago. We go to (and lived at) Grace Bible Church. We've been praying for you all and are excited for this next step for you.
In Him,
